Dr. Roy Smith – Chiropractor
Dr. Roy is a proud husband and father to two children. He enjoys spending time with his family when not taking care of the health of the community. He loves keeping fit, and has been a keen runner for many years and now challenges himself by running half marathons and marathons.
Early in his Chiropractic career, Dr. Roy observed that a gentle approach, combined with practical and inspirational health advice, delivered excellent outcomes to his patients.
Dr. Roy’s purpose is to inspire and adjust members of the community towards outstanding nervous system function using Chiropractic care and education so that they can enjoy an AWESOME quality of life. He works with all ages and also loves working with women suffering from stress, active and sporty people who are looking at injury prevention, as well as those suffering from jaw issues and headaches.
After moving to Melbourne from South Africa, he completed 6 years of training at RMIT University and graduated with a Bachelors of Clinical Science and a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science. Subsequently, Dr. Roy earned a Graduate Certificate in Sports Chiropractic and an International Chiropractic Sport Science Diploma.
Dr. Roy is a member of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia and served as a senior director on the board of the Victorian branch for almost 15 years. He has also received many awards of which Chiropractor of the year in Victoria and Outstanding service awards are just some.
Dr. Bianca Beaumont – Chiropractor
Dr. Beaumont completed her Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and went on to follow her dream of becoming a Chiropractor. That dream was inspired when, at age 14 she tried chiropractic care as a last resort to address debilitating migraines. After completing a BSc at The University of Melbourne she then went on to Graduate from Chiropractic and Clinical Sciences at RMIT in 2001 with first class honours.
Dr. Beaumont has worked under the Body In Balance Chiropractic banner for 17 years and loves seeing what chiropractic can do for you! She enjoys providing care to whole families and her favourite time in practice is between 3 and 5pm when the “afterschool crew” come in for their care.

Philip Schofield – Remedial Massage Therapist
Philip attained a Certificate IV in Relaxation Massage and a Diploma of Remedial Massage while at the Australian College of Fitness and Bodywork. He is experienced in different modalities such as Relaxation Massage, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Trigger Point Therapy. Phil has also attained a certificate in dry needling and cupping.
Philip also knows the importance of take-home stretches and strengthening exercises so the client can feel empowered with their own health and wellbeing and get better results.
Tomka Thoday – Reiki Practitioner
Tomka is a Reiki Practitioner who through her own personal healing journey in using natural health modalities was drawn to become a Reiki Practitioner as a way now to heal others.
Through personal experience and turning to various forms of energy healing instead of western medicine, the missing piece of the puzzle fell into place when she discovered Chiropractic many years ago, which led her to renewed health and a new life path and journey. This new journey led Tomka to study, research and explore natural health and to understand how “energy” can affect us on a deeper level. This journey continues. She enjoys helping people suffering anxiety and panic disorders.
